Dr. Woodward has been treating equine patients since 1982. Island Animal Clinic offers many equine services ranging from vaccinations to breeding services.
We also offer an all inclusive wellness program for your horse. The program includes all preventative medicine needed for an entire year such as vaccinations, dental, and fecal checks. Please call 734-671-3090 for more details. Our services include: Vaccinations We recommend twice yearly vaccinations. Our program follows AAEP guidelines and we take into consideration what your individual horse will need to be protected. Diagnostics We offer a wide range of diagnostic services for your horse. Portable radiology, ultrasound, and in house blood work to get results faster. Dental Care Dental care is one of the most important things you can do for your equine companion. Dr. Woodward provides power floats for her clients. This is a unique and more effective way to float horse's teeth. Parasite Prevention Island Animal Clinic uses current techniques in parasite prevention and treatment. With our program, fecal checks are performed before any dewormer are given to determine the type and amount of parasites your horse may have. We will then design a dewormer program specific for your horse and perform a re-check fecal to make sure it is working. This helps to prevent and identify parasite resistance.
